Raiders Earn Bye, Host Regional Round Two on Feb. 28
Women’s basketball earned an automatic bid to 3C2A Championship play
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (Feb. 22, 2026) – Announced this afternoon by the California Community College Athletic Association (3C2A), the Moorpark College women's basketball team has been selected as the No. 3 seed for the upcoming State Championship Tournament, which is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, Feb. 25 with First Round games and conclude on Sunday, March 15 with the State title match-up.
The top eight teams received First Round byes, therefore Moorpark will next suit up on Saturday, Feb. 28. Their seeding has allowed them the opportunity to host. The Raiders and the winner of the No. 14 Copper Mountain vs. No. 19 Bakersfield game will tip-off at 7:00 p.m. inside of Raider Pavilion.
MC was led this regular season by Western State Conference (WSC) North Most Outstanding Player of the Year Maleyni Tolliver and WSC North Defensive Player of the Year Hannah Lising. Tolliver led the team with 16.5 points per game (shooting 58.4 percent from the floor on a 174-for-289 showing) and 7.2 rebounds per game. Lising was also in double-figure scoring with 11.7 points per game (shooting 46.4 percent from the floor on 109-for-235 shooting) while tallying 6.8 rebounds per game (156), handing out 3.8 assists per game (87) and supplying 2.7 steals per game (63).
Both Keilani Peralta and Alyssa Saldana averaged better than 12 points a game at 13.7 and 12.6 points per game, respectively. Peralta was a three-point threat, going 78-for-195 from long range for a 40 percent shooting clip, adding a 26-for-32 showing at the free-throw line (81.3 percent). She also chipped in with 2.6 assists per game (67) and .9 steals per game (23). Saldana shot 45.8 percent from the field (82-for-179) with 4.0 assists per game (72) and 1.5 steals per game (27). Rhema Clements was a defensive menace with a team-high 43 blocks for an average of 1.7 per game.
Overall, the Raiders scored 1808 points during the regular season to average 69.5 points per game. They pulled down 41.0 rebounds per game (1,067 total), handed out 17.1 assists per game, grabbed 8.7 steals per game and tallied 3.3 blocks per game. The Blue and White limited opponents to 48.6 points per game and 34.5 rebounds per game.
Moorpark (25-3) has won 14 straight games entering the postseason and earned its seventh consecutive Western State Conference (WSC) North title last Friday evening.
Admission prices are $12 for adults (13+) and $8 for students, faculty, staff, senior citizens, military veterans and children (5-12).
