Ten Take Home All-WSC Softball Awards
Softball reels in accolades
MOORPARK, Calif. (May 19, 2026) – Announced in late April, nine members of the 2026 Moorpark College softball team took home Western State Conference (WSC) North Division Honors with five landing on the First Team, four on the Second Team and one Honorable Mention.
Earning her way onto the First Team All-WSC in 2026 were Alyssa Morales, Morgan Casillas, Lily Kougher, Kailey Greene and Daniela Isarrararas.
Morales was a two-way player for the Raiders, becoming a power at the plate and in the circle. She was second on the team in league play with a .488 batting average that came from a team-high 21 hits (2B-4, HR-1) in 43 at-bats over 12 games. She drove in eight runs and scored a team-high 20 times. Using her speed, she stole a team tops, nine bases. She finished WSC play with a .542 on-base percentage and a .651 slugging percentage. From the rubber, she worked to a 4-2 pitching record with three starts and eight overall appearances in which she threw 31.1 conference innings and finished with 26 strike outs and a 3.35 ERA.
Casillas proved to be a force to be reckoned with at the plate, accumulating a .526 batting average. She went 20-for-38 with 10 extra base hits, including a trio of homeruns and seven doubles, while recording 18 RBIs and a slugging percentage of .947. Casillas collected 36 total bases, second on the team, and scored 11 runs. Additionally, she stole three bases. The freshman catcher had 16 putouts and an assist, also catching one runner stealing.
Kougher notched a 1.000 slugging percentage and posted a .500 on base percentage with a .455 batting average in WSC games. She collected 20 hits including 12 for extra bases with half a dozen homeruns and an equal amount of doubles. She also drew three walks and stole four bases before scoring 18 runs. Kougher topped the team charts with 44 total bases in her freshman campaign. She was perfect in the outfield with 17 putouts in as many chances.
In her final season, Greene posted a .462 batting average on 18 hits, including four doubles, one triple and two homeruns, for a slugging percentage of .769. Greene drew five walks and was hit twice for a .532 on base percentage. She recorded 15 RBIs and collected 30 total bases, scoring 18 times. Defensively, she has 75 putouts in 78 chances and was part of two double plays.
Rounding out the First Team was Isarrararas who brought a big bat all season. Her team-leading .545 batting average came from 12 hits, five of which were homeruns, in 22 at-bats, as she drove in 20 runs (second on the squad) and scored nine times in eight games. She walked six times and tallied a .621 on-base percentage. Her team-leading slugging percentage was 1.273. In the field, she had 23 putouts and two assists for a 1.000 fielding percentage.
The quartet of Aryanne Munoz, Danielle Shinko, Riley Furnace and Abrial Ramirez was selected to the Second Team All-WSC.
Munoz played in all 12 league games, producing a .379 batting average, with 11 hits (five doubles, one homerun) and five walks, as well as five hit-by-pitches for a .525 on base percentage and a .655 slugging percentage. She scored 10 runs and drove on an equal number. She stole three bases and collected 19 total bases this season. In the field, Munoz recorded 15 putouts and 23 assists and was part of three double-plays.
Shinko played a key role, appearing in 10 conference contests. She had 10 defensive chances and completed each putout for a 1.000 fielding percentage in conference play. At the plate, she was 10-for-27 with three doubles for a .370 average. Shinko scored 11 times and collected 10 RBIs.
Furnace hit at a .412 clip, going 14-for-34 with nine walks for a .535 on base percentage. She drove in 16 runs and scored 18 times for the Raiders. Furnace connected for a trio of doubles and a pair of homeruns and finished with a .676 slugging percentage in WSC play. The freshman was part of a double-play and recorded 11 putouts and 20 assists in the field.
Starting eight of the 12 WSC games this spring, Ramirez finished with a 5-0 record. The sophomore hurled 35.0 innings, striking out 20 batters. She also finished her second season with a 1.000 fielding percentage on two putouts and eight assists.
Rounding out the selections this spring for the Raiders was freshman Rylee Redmond with a WSC Honorable Mention nod. She was perfect in the field with 17 putouts in 17 chances. At the plate, she went 10-for-33 in 12 games with a double and a triple for 13 total bases. Redmond recorded three RBIs and scored 10 runs. She finished the season with a .303 batting average, .351 on base percentage and a .394 slugging percentage in conference action.
Moorpark (17-16) posted a 10-2 Western State Conference record in the 2026 season.
