SACRAMENTO, Calif. (April 27, 2026) – Announced over the weekend by the California Community College Athletic Association (3C2A), the Moorpark College softball team was selected as the No. 17 seed into the 2026 3C2A Softball Postseason Tournament.

3C2A Southern California Regional play will begin on Tuesday, April 28 with a pair of play-in games, including No. 17 Moorpark at No. 16 College of the Canyons. The other play-in will take place between host No. 15 Orange Coast College and No. 18 Ventura. The winner of the MC/COC game will travel the toughest route as the victor is set to face No. 1 Palomar in a three-game series on May 1-2.  

Moorpark (17-15) finished second in the Western State Conference (WSC) North standings with a 10-2 record just behind Ventura (21-18-1). College of the Canyons (22-18) was second in the WSC South behind Antelope Valley College (29-11).

Earlier this season, on March 3, Moorpark dropped a 2-1 decision to COC on the road.

The Raiders look to avenge that loss tomorrow and advance to play another day. First pitch is slated for 2:00 p.m. and the game will be streamed free for those unable to attend live on the Cougar Sports Network.
