Men’s and Women’s Cross Country and Track & Field Make History
Raiders claim four titles in one year
MOORPARK, Calif. (April 30, 2026) – For the first time in Western State Conference (WSC) history the same institution claimed men's and women's cross country and men's and women's track and field titles to sweep all four trophies in a single academic year.
The Raiders ran their way to the top of the podium in the fall with the men's cross country team earning its 15th team title in program history while the women's cross country team took home its fifth WSC championship in the fall of 2025. It was the first time that both men's and women's programs won WSC titles the same season.
Then, the overall program went on to repeat that feat in the spring as the men's track and field team earned its fifth consecutive, and 16th overall, team championship while the women's track and field team raced, jumped and threw its way to the 10th team title in school history for the Raiders.
With the second sweep of the year, the cross country and track and field teams did something never done before in the history of the WSC.
Postseason competition is on the horizon when qualifiers travel to Bakersfield College for the California Community College Athletic Association (3C2A) SoCal Regional Preliminaries beginning at 10:00 a.m. on May 2.
