Bowl Game Ends with Tough Loss
Moorpark stumbles in Patriotic Bowl
CHULA VISTA, Calif. (Nov. 22, 2025) – Today marked the season finale for the Moorpark College football team after a tough 31-7 Bowl Game loss inside DeVore Stadium at Southwestern College.
The game was lopsided from the initial kickoff though Moorpark managed to score a late touchdown in the fourth quarter to avoid being shutout. Down 28-0, quarterback Sirawn Evans connected with Angel Urban for a 51-yard completion and TD before Valentino Lara kicked the point after on a drive that spanned 80 yards in eight plays.
Moorpark was limited to 227 total yards of offense. Evans went 13-for-24 for 112 yards and Aidan Karsh was 5-for-10 for 66 yards. Wide receiver Jude Hooks hauled in six catches for 69 yards. Dameian Hernandez nabbed four catches for 20 yards while adding 17 yards on foot. On the ground, Carson Green touched the ball 11 times for 47 yards.
Defensively, Nolan Story grabbed an interception while also pacing the team with 12 tackles, nine of which were solo stops. Shyne Kalilikane was next with six and Nick Andrade added five, including a sack for a loss of six yards and three total stops for a loss of eight.
Moorpark (6-5) has concluded its 2025 campaign.
