Grace Hazelton and Prior Borick take 2nd place at 3C2A Southern California Pairs Championship, advance to 3C2A State Pairs Championships
After taking 3rd place at the WSC Pairs Championships, Grace Hazelton and Prior Borick continued their run at the 3C2A Southern California Pairs Championships taking 2nd place.
They will now be seeded the #2 Pairs from the South as they head to the 3C2A State Pairs Championships this Friday and Saturday, May 9th and 10th at Long Beach City College with pool play beginning at 8p.
Borick and Hazelton opened So Cals with a straight set win over #2 team from the Pacific Coast Conference. The Raider duo got their second win of the day defeating the #2 SCC pair to send them to the Quarter-finals.
On day 2, in their quarter-final match, they defeated the #2 team from Mt Sac in straight sets to send them into the semi-finals.
In the semi-final, they faced Palomar 's #1 duo and won in 3 sets to send them into the So Cal Regional final where they faced a familiar foe in Santa Monica. The duo from Santa Monica defeated Borick and Hazelton in the semi-finals at the WSC Pairs championships. However, once again, the Corsair pair got the best of the Raider duo to take the So Cal crown.
