Raiders Recognized on All-Region Teams
Moorpark peppers regional honor sheets
MOORPARK, Calif. (Dec. 30, 2025) – A successful Fall for Moorpark College athletics led to a number of California Community College Athletic Association (3C2A) SoCal Regional recognitions across many sports for the Raiders.
Men's Cross Country
Both Tommy White and Trent Williams were honored by the 3C2A as All-SoCal Region after finishing in the Top-14 at the 3C2A SoCal Regional Men's Cross Country Championships on the 4-mile course at the Naval Training Center in San Diego on Nov. 10. White was found amongst the front pack for the first mile and made his move just before the two-mile marker. He had opened an eight-second advantage at the three-mile checkpoint and went on to set a new course record of 19:56.7 to win the SoCal individual title for MC. The prior top-time was 19:57.5 set a year ago in 2024. Williams placed eight in 20:31.5 to also earn All-Region accolade during his first collegiate season.
Women's Cross Country
Maya Natarajan added another accomplishment to her growing list of accolades when she won the 2025 3C2A SoCal Regional Championships individual title to earn All-SoCal Region honors. Reserving her energy and running the 5K race she prepared for, Natarajan was part of the frontrunners from the start, but took over the lead with 1200 meters to go and in the process, set a new course record with her finish of 17:46.90. The previous record of 18:03.3 was set in 2022
Football
Three sophomores from the Raiders football program, Jude Hooks, DeVaughn Robinson and Nolan Story, were honored by the California Community College Football Coaches Association in 2025. Moorpark falls in Region III where Hooks was selected to the All-California First Team Offense for his performance as a wide receiver in his sophomore season while Robinson and Story reeled in All-California First Team Defense honors.
Hooks, the 6-foot-2, 165-pound, receiver tallied 18 touchdowns in 11 games. He accumulated 951 total yards with 60 receptions. He had five 100-plus games with his season-best of 165 yards in a 40-7 victory at Santa Barbara on Oct. 11 while accounting for a season-best four scores a week later in a 49-23 win against Allan Hancock.
Robinson used his 6-foot-1, 250-pound frame to anchor the defensive line in 2025. In 11 games, he provided 23 solo tackles and 24 assists (47.0 total tackles) for 4.3 tackles per game. He also added 7.0 sacks for a loss of 63 collective yards in his sophomore campaign. In the season opener, he notched 2.0 sacks and a broken-up play and during a 27-23 road win over Chaffey, Robinson provided a season-best 8.0 tackles with a sack for a loss of 15-yards and a forced fumble.
Finally, Story served as a utility man in his sophomore season. The defensive back tallied a team-high 85.0 tackles that included 57 solo stops and 28 assists, for 7.7 tackles per game. A menace to the opposition, Story recorded a sack, recovered a pair of fumbles, broke up seven plays throughout the season and came away with six interceptions, which he returned for a total of 57 yards. He also returned a punt (a 40-yard return against Cerritos) for the Raiders.
Women's Golf
Following back-to-back All-Western State Conference honors as a freshman and sophomore, Kalia Aparicio added another accolade to her repertoire this fall by being named 3C2A All-SoCal Region. Her low-round of 73 came at the WSC #5 at San Dimas Golf Course on Sept. 29 where she tied for the top spot. She also qualified for the 3C2A State Championships as an individual in 2025.
Women's Volleyball
A successful freshman season set up Daylin Saiki for selection to the 3C2A All-Southern California Team. Saiki was one of six players from SoCal selected for the honor. The setter played 103 sets over 28 matches in which she provided 150.0 points. She provided 809 assists (7.85 per set), 252 digs (2.45 per set), 72 kills (.70 per set) on 229 attacks (.210 hitting percentage), 59 service aces (.57 per set) and 35 total blocks with three solo stops and 32 assists. She made a giant impact in her first collegiate season for the Raiders.
Men's Wrestling
Willian Fulgentes had a stellar freshman season for the Raiders, regularly winning his matches throughout the fall to be selected as All-Conference Upper Weights Most Valuable Wrestler as voted by all league coaches. At the 3C2A SoCal Regional Tournament on Dec. 6, the Simi Valley, Calif. native defeated each of his opponents to place first in undefeated fashion. The victory earned him a qualification into the State Tournament where he was a legitimate candidate for a 3C2A State title at the 197-pound category. Although Fulgentes fell just short, placing second in California, the future is bright for the first-year wrestler from Moorpark.
At the time of release, men's and women's All-Region teams had not been publicized.
