Raiders in the Playoffs
Moorpark sends six programs to postseason play
MOORPARK, Calif. (Nov. 18, 2025) – Moorpark College had a successful fall and with that five teams have been earned the opportunity to compete in the postseason. While men's and women's cross country already competed in 3C2A Southern California Regionals and women's golf sent a trio of players to the 3C2A State Championships, football was selected to play in a Bowl Game and a pair of MC teams are gearing up for a State Championship run. Men's Cross Country (WSC – 1st place, 3C2A SoCal Regionals – 7th)
On the backs of sophomore Tommy White and freshman Trent Williams, the Moorpark men's cross country team sprinted to a WSC title, their first since 2022 and third in the tenure of head coach Traycie Kephart. The Raiders went on to place seventh at 3C2A So Cal Regional Championships, despite losing a runner to injury during the meet. White placed first in the Region and he and MC are poised to perform this weekend at the 3C2A State Championships on Saturday, Nov. 22 at Woodard Park in Fresno, Calif. Runners line up at 11:00 a.m.
Moorpark men's cross country is no stranger to competing at the California State Championships and took home back-to-back first-place finishes in 1996 and 1997. Eleazar Hernandez was the individual Men's Cross Country champion in 1996 for MC and back in 1972 Roger Henderson brought home the top honors.

Women's Cross Country (WSC – 1st place, 3C2A SoCal Regionals – 4th)
Moorpark women's cross country claimed a WSC title for the first time since 1995. The 2025 championship was the fifth in program history. The Raiders went on to place fourth at 3C2A So Cal Regionals behind a first-place individual finish from Maya Natarajan, who also clinched the WSC individual title and has an opportunity to run at the front of the State pack on Nov. 22 at Woodard Park in Fresno, Calif. at the 3C2A State Championships. The Raiders will toe the line at 10:00 a.m.
The women's cross country program has never won a State Title, but the team has qualified numerous times, with a second-place finish in 1980. Additionally, in 2019 Sophia Cortina was the individual State champion for Moorpark.

Football (6-4, 5-2 NNC – 3rd place)
For the first time since 2022, the Moorpark College football program is heading to postseason play. MC placed third in the NNC after posting a 5-2 record. The 6-4 Raiders earned a bid to the Patriotic Bowl which will take place at Southwestern (7-3) in San Diego. Teams will take the field at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 22. This marks the 21st time in program history that Moorpark will play in a Bowl Game and the third appearance in the tenure of head coach Mike Stuart.

Women's Golf (WSC – 4th place, 3C2A SoCal Regionals – 6th)
Moorpark used a fourth place WSC finish to advance to the 3C2A Southern California Regionals on Nov. 9-10 where the team finished just out of contention for a qualification into the 3C2A State Championships, in sixth. Despite that, a trio of golfers earned spots as individuals with Kalia Aparicio, Savannah Fryhoff and Ali Muncy all gearing up in Blue and White to represent Moorpark at the State level. Men's Soccer (9-6-5, 5-3-2 WSC – 3rd)
The Raiders produced their first nine-win season since 2021 and won five WSC games for the first time in 12 years. Moorpark has made strides in the right direction to turn the program's success around. MC secured third place in the WSC North regular season standings in 2025. With that, the Raiders earned a bid into the 3C2A Southern California Regionals, which are set to begin on Wednesday. Nov. 19. Ranked No. 23, Moorpark will travel to No. 10 San Bernardino Valley (13-6-2) for a 2:00 p.m. kickoff against the Wolverines.
MC is coming off a big 4-1 win in the season finale. The Raiders have scored 41 goals in 20 games for 2.05 goals per game, while holding opponents to 1.52 goals per game. Nine individual players and the coaching staff earned accolades from the WSC as announced earlier this week.
Meanwhile, SBVC lost its last regular season game, 2-1, to Chaffey. The Wolverines have scored 48 goals in 20 games for 2.4 goals per game, while holding opponents to 1.37 goals per game.
Moorpark is believed to have last appeared in the State Tournament in 1990 when the Raiders were the State runner-up.
Teams will converge at 2:00 p.m. Admission, per the 3C2A, is $12 adults, $8 students (with ID), staff, seniors and children. More 3C2A Men's Soccer 2025 State Championships information is available as well.

Women's Soccer (10-7-3, 5-4-3 WSC – 4th)
The 2025 women's soccer team tied for fourth place in the WSC standings with Allan Hancock. The Raiders did not receive a postseason nod in 2025. The team did, however, land six players on All-WSC Teams, which were released by the conference earlier this week.

Women's Volleyball (21-8, 10-2 WSC – T-1st)
Moorpark women's volleyball success extended into 2025. The squad tied atop the WSC standings to win a share of the conference title with Santa Barbara this season. The Raiders have been WSC champions or co-champions for three consecutive years. Additionally, MC has won the league title six times in the tenure of head coach Adam Black, dating back to 2017, placing second the other two seasons.
The Raiders placed six players on All-WSC Teams as announced by the conference earlier this week. In 29 matches this year, MC averaged 10.99 kills per set with 9.68 assists per set, 15.76 digs per set, 2.39 service aces per set and 1.40 blocks per set.
Moorpark enters the tournament as the No. 6 seed and thus earned a First Round bye, which is scheduled for Friday. Nov. 21. On Tuesday, Nov. 25, MC will host No. 11 Palomar (18-7). Moorpark is 9-0 at home this season.
