Bringing The Heat
Last week saw a mix of triumphs and challenges for Moorpark College's athletic teams. Women’s Soccer celebrated a hard-fought victory against Ventura with a score of 1-0, displaying their tenacity on the field. In contrast, Men’s Wrestling faced a tough match against Bakersfield, grappling fiercely but unfortunately not clinching the victory.
The excitement reached new heights last week during Blue and White Hoops Night, an event orchestrated by the men’s and women’s basketball teams. It showcased the immense talent of this year's teams, with the women’s team notably outshining the men in the 3-point shootout competition, demonstrating their exceptional skills and precision. We eagerly anticipate their upcoming season and are excited to see what they can do on the court.
Looking ahead, anticipation builds for the 55th annual Citrus Cup at Griffin Stadium against Ventura College this Thursday October 12th. The Football team is fueled by the momentum started by our Women's Soccer team last week, aiming for victory. Let's rally behind them and echo the chant we all know, "Beat Ventura!"
